In the year 2001 several companies were registered in South India[1], for selling magnetic beds among other items. To name a few of them one was named V-Can Network Pvt. Ltd was registered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and another was Japan Life[1]. In the following years, there were several cases registered against V-Can[1][2][3], Japan Life and other similar companies[1][2][3]. V-Can Network company was involved in selling a fake product called Magnetic Bed for inducing more Sensual Pleasures. The Bed was sold at prices from 5,000 to 25,000. People were cheated for a whopping thousand crores of Amount.
In 2001, it seemed a very successful business. Lenin Karuppan was one of the sellers of these magnetic beds. There were several promises made to people, for example, Lenin promoted these beds in the name of increased sexual pleasure.
In the year 2003 Lenin was actively involved with the company and had cheated many people with crores of their money. He had earned a lot of money by cheating the innocent people. Tamil news articles had mentioned that he had a car worth 15 Lakhs during that period 2000 to 2003.
People who were cheated came out in public and started giving complaints one by one.
First case against V-Can Network, in Crime No.42/2003 was registered on 24-01-2003, under Sections 420 and 506 (1) I.P.C.; under Sections 4, 5 and 6 of Prize Chits and Money Circulation Schemes (Banning) Act, 1978; under Section 15 of Indian Medical Council Act; under Sections 3 and 4 of Drug and Magic Remedies Objectionable Advertisement Act, 1978 by Central Crime Branch, Chennai City Police, based on a complaint given by one Jayaraman of Chennai.
When the FIR was filed, the company prayed innocence through a Writ Petition at the High Court of Chennai.
Writ Petition Details:
Writ Petition No. 2908 of 2003
Writ Petition No. 4144 of 2003
W.P.M.P.Nos. 3650 and 5221 of 2003.
W.P.No. 2908/2003
In the Meantime, the police have received more than 30 complaints against V-Can Network and they investigated the matter in detail. They found out that common people were cheated for crores of rupees.
The High Court of Chennai the Hon’ble High Court in its judgement, had ordered for a Proper Investigation into the issue. The court said that “This Court hopes that the Investigation Agency will undertake the task promptly and complete the same expeditiously” and dismissed the petitions by that Fraud Company”

LENIN WAS ARRESTED LATER HE ABSCONDED AFTER COMING OUT OF BAIL
Further the police Arrested many of accused related the Case. Lenin at first was not arrested and he was providing legal and other assistance to his Associates who were in Jail. Then Lenin was also Arrested by the Chennai Crime Branch Police, who later came out upon a bail.
It is to be noted that, In December 2017, Japan Life went bust with a debt of ¥240.5 billion[2], which is equivalent to $2.2 Billion USD or Rs. 14,947 thousand Crores.
In 2005, Lenin was involved in making porn videos. He used highly technical graphics software to make porn videos with still images. He was still hiding from the police for cheating in the case of selling magnetic beds for sexual pleasure.
In 2006, hiding from the police he came to Nithyananda Peetam under the disguise of a seeker. He could have used ashram lifestyle and teachings of His Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda’s teachings to transform his life.
But instead, he continued his life with his criminal mindset. Unimaginable to anyone, Lenin raped a woman aadheenavasi from a Scheduled Caste community. He was also caught stealing Rs. 1 crore. ($ 146,500 USD). When his felonies came to light, he was immediately kicked out of the ashram.
In 2009, Lenin decided to take revenge on Paramahamsa Nithyananda and the organisation. He co-conspired with Sun TV and Nakheeran magazine along with the help of his brother Kumar. He used his experience of making porn videos with the help of technicians in Sun TV and created the morphed video.
Lenin sent his ally Shreedhar to the ashram to extort money[4][5][6] from Paramahamsa Nithyananda, blackmailing that he would publish the fake morphed video on Sun TV otherwise. Lenin became the front face of the conspiracy against Paramahamsa Nithyananda.
What job or work Lenin was doing is not known, or how exactly he was being sponsored is also not completely known. However, Kalyanaraman openly declared Lenin as a pawn in his recorded audio[7]. How did Lenin, a small-time magnetic sex bed fraudster get involved with the anti-Hindu forces? What was Lenin’s role, what was the role of others? And many other such questions remain unanswered.
On, 27 March 2018 a Chennai Judge ordered a full expanded inquiry by the CBCID into this case of extortion, false allegations of abuse and creation of the morphed video.
Read more on the development of the extortion case here.
Lenin submitted a false complaint against Paramahamsa Nithyananda. Click here to read the original copy of the false complaint which Lenin submitted to the police.
The first thing which Lenin ensured was, he filed the false complaint in the same police station where he had been arrested for his magnetic sex bed scam. Lenin had developed contacts with that police station when he himself was arrested for the magnetic sex bed scam.
This case was later transferred to Karnataka (a different state).
Why were the laws of jurisdiction compromised?
What was the logic of filing complaint 200KMs away from Bidadi where the ashram was located?
Why would a police officer accept a complaint of a jurisdiction which doesn’t even fall within his state and is 200 KMs far from where he is?
Second thing, Lenin did not mention a word regarding rape, or any specific person as a possible or even probable rape victim.
So then one wonders on what basis the Police added rape charges against Paramahamsa Nithyananda? Was the addition of charges based entirely on the policeman’s imagination?
Click here to read the original copy of the false complaint which Lenin submitted to the police.
Vinay Bharadwaj (Vimalananda) had raped a child of a devotee of Paramahamsa Nithyananda. He did not stop with that. Raping a child and getting caught was not enough for Vinay. Vinay Bharadwaj (Vimalanada) had the greed to grab ashram properties. He dropped a letter outside the child rape victim’s house trying to blackmail her parents to not put any sort of complaint against him. He threatened and blackmailed them saying that he would put a false rape case on Paramahamsa Nithyananda if they did not listen.
Both the magnetic sex bed scam culprit, Lenin and the child rapist & blackmailer, Vinay Bharadwaj had extremely twisted lives and reasons for becoming pawns at the hands of anti-Hindu forces conspiring against Paramahamsa Nithyananda.
At that time Lenin and the conspirators did not have anyone whom they had convinced to play the role of the false rape victim.
Failing to find a suitable victim, Lenin submitted the complaint in a highly twisted way, making the world’s first false rape case where not even any victim was mentioned nor the word “rape” was mentioned in the complaint.
Based on Lenin’s false complaint, the conspirators started the persecution. Based on this complaint and the morphed video
#1 Cheated people selling magnetic sex beds.
#2 Attempted rape of women from Scheduled Caste community
#2 with help of Sun TV and others created the Nithyananda morphed video.
#3 Tried to extort money from Paramahamsa Nithyananda
#4 Gave false police complaint against Paramahamsa Nithyananda
#5 Gave thousands of interviews defaming and attacking Paramahamsa Nithyananda and his disciples
#6 Abused judiciary through his blogs.
#7 Disrespect the judiciary by avoiding summons and absconding.

There has been another case filed by Ms Puspa (Ma Nithya Supriyananda), a woman brahmacharini of Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam, belonging to a Scheduled Caste community, against Lenin, for attempted rape and making casteist comments against her. This is to register a Crime by Lenin for the offences punishable under Sections 342, 354, 355, 376, 384, 506 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3 of the Scheduled Castes and Schedules Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 and further seeking investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation and seeking compensation. WP 10815/2011 has been heard by the High Court of Karnataka and notice issued to the respondents.
On 12 March 2013, the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka had ordered for FIR to be filed in the said case filed by Pushpa against Lenin Karuppan for his attempt to rape her, extortion and threat to kill her. The police thereafter registered the complaint and FIR in Cr. N. 0077/2013 at Bidadi Police Station, on 11 March 2013. The High Court had directed the police to investigate the matter in accordance with law. The police in connivance with the accused again closed the case by filing B report.
Then The Hon’ble Sessions Court on 22 January 2017 ordered for the chargesheet to be filed after the investigation and has taken cognizance of the offences under Sections 376 (rape), 341 (wrongful restraint), 506 (criminal intimidation), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 3(1)(r) of SC ST Act (intentionally insults or intimidates with intent to humiliate a member of a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe in any place within public view). Due to the seriousness of the case, the law under the SC/ST Act requires the case to be completed in a time bound of 2 months.
The case is currently undergoing trial.
Lenin has been mentioned as the informant for a series of porn style articles that were published about ashramites (residents of the monastery) and Paramahamsa Nithyananda in the Nakkheeran Tamil yellow magazine. The Tamil bi-weekly magazine, in its issue dated 13 April 2010, Volume 22, Issue No.103, published a libelous article about the complainant which is per-se defamatory and outrageous, scandalous. In page.22 of the said edition, an article with a caption ‘The Leelas of disciples- A young girl’s testimonial’ was published. The article potrayed her as if she supplies girls to another male disciple. Ms Puspa who suffered a sense of shock and indignity and reduced to a situation of a emotional abandonment. With mixed emotions of fear, loss of self-worth, mental agony and disgust, she filed a complaint in P.C.R. 187/2011 (CC.NO. 141/2012) on August 2011 for crime under Section 500 of the Indian Penal Code.
In another yellow magazine defaming Paramahamsa Nithyananda and his disciples, Lenin has acted as an informant. In an episode titled ‘Sarasam Sallabam Samiaar’, the Kumudam Reporter has published false and defamatory statements which were given by Lenin. The article has misguided statements regarding a made up sex contract and compared ashram (monastery) to a third rate move intending to malign Paramahamsa Nithyananda. Ms Puspa’s name has been directly abused in the article. So she filed a complaint in CC.NO. 25289/2012 for crimes committed under Section 499, 500 (defamation), 504 (intentionally provoking peace), 509(insulting woman), & 506(B)(criminal intimidation) of Indian Penal Code.
A private complaint has been filed in P.C.R. 183/2010 (C.C. No. 599/2011) on December 31, 2010 under Section 200 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973, by Smt. Ranjitha against Lenin Karuppan (Accused No. 1) and two other conspirators along with witness statements. The complaint has been filed for crimes committed under Sections 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 506 (Criminal intimidation), 384 (Extortion), 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code. The complaint details Lenin’s videotaping without consent and morphing of the video tape and subsequent attempt to extort pecuniary benefits for himself and others using the morphed tapes. In this case, on the basis of the complaint and the sworn-in statements (statements on oath) by 3 witnesses in the case, the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) took cognizance and registered as criminal case and issued summons on June 4, 2011 to Lenin for his personal appearance on August 1, 2011. Since he failed to appear before the Judicial Magistrate, a NBW was issued to him on August 2, 2011. Subsequently, on 29 Oct 2011, a second NBW was issued to Lenin. Meanwhile, Lenin was arrested by the Tamilnadu CID in Atmaprabha’s case. Ramnagara Magistrate then issued a body warrant and brought him to Ramnagara Magistrate court on 7 Apr 2012. He applied for bail.
All the accused tried to get the case quashed in the High Court of Karnataka. The High Court did not quash the case. They then tried to apply to the Sessions Court Ramanagara. The discharge petitions filed by Lenin Karuppan and Arathi Rao, the main accused in the conspiracy were dismissed by the Principal Sessions Court Ramanagara. Read more here

A criminal complaint P.C.R. 35/2011 was filed on 10th March 2011 by Ma Nithya Sahajatmananda against Lenin Karuppan and other conspirators, under Sections 324 (Voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 327 (Voluntarily causing hurt to extort property, or to constrain to an illegal act), 328 (Causing hurt by means of poison, etc., with intent to commit an offence), 342 (Wrongful Confinement), read with 120B (criminal conspiracy), read with 109 (Abetment if the act abetted is committed in consequence, and where no express provision is made for its punishment), 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 355 (Assault or criminal force with intent to dishonour person, otherwise than on grave provocation), 500 (Defamation), 506 (Criminal intimidation) and 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code.
The case is undergoing trial. The sworn statements of the complainant have been taken and the witness statement is in progress.

He has been facing interrogation by the Tamilnadu CID since 26th March and has confessed to his crimes. Lenin has been denied bail by the Hon’ble Magistrate of the XIth Metropolitan Magistrate Court Saidapet, Chennai on 2nd April after due consideration of the serious nature of the offences committed. Held Hostage and Living in Fear: A Sanyasini Fights for Her Right to Follow the Sacred Path
Complaint filed by Lori Espersen, Rajeswary Kunasegaran, Vijay Venkatraman, L Suryaprakash before the Court of the Civil Judge and Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ramnagara informing that no action was taken by either Bidadi Police Station or Ramnagara Superintendent for the complaint and requesting the Magistrate to punish Lenin under sections 292, 509, 182, 505, 447, 448, 453, 456, U/s 67 of the IT Act 2000, and U/s 4 of the Indecent Representation of Women Act 1986. This was a case filed to register the crime of invasion of privacy as Lenin and Arthi as per their statement had admittedly placed a camera in the bedroom of Swami Nithyananda. The fact that the video was morphed is on one hand the fact but the statement by Lenin and Arathi Rao that they had put a camera in the bedroom itself is direct admission of a crime.
Case was referred back to the Bidadi police station for interrogation and filing of FIR.
4 FIRS were filed. The case went into the hands of the CID. On 19 Feb 2011, the magistrate said that the police should submit an investigation report by March 25, failing which they will get a show cause notice. On 26 March 2011, the Magistrate issued show cause notice to PSI bidadi police station to report on May 10th about the status of the investigation on Lenin and on why they handed it over to the CID. On 10 May 2011, Bidadi PSI Vijay Kumar inspector was summoned, but he didn’t appear. Instead, Bidadi police sent a letter referring the investigation to CID. The court said that it was not right, and that the Bidadi PSI only has to do the investigation and submit the report by June 25 or it will be a contempt of court. Meanwhile, the CID filed a B-report.
On 28 Aug 2010 Anjula Jackson filed PCR 118/2010 under Section 200 of Cr.Pc 1973, before the Court of the Civil Judge and Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ramnagara, informing that no action was taken by either Bidadi Police Station or Ramnagara Superintendent for the complaint and requesting the Magistrate to punish Lenin under sections 292, 509, 182, 505, 447, 448, 453, 456, U/s 67 of the IT Act 2000, and U/s 4 of the Indecent Representation of Women Act 1986.
CC No. 843/2010.
Cognizance was taken, sworn statement done and on 30 Oct 2010, order was passed issuing summons to Lenin by Jan 17 2011. Lenin filed a criminal petition No. 345/2011 to the KA HC challenging the order dated 30.10.2010 passed by the KA Magistrate court. KA HC stayed the proceedings. On 17 Jan 2011 – Lenin appeared in Ramnagara Magistrate court and informed it of the interim stay order passed by the HC. He applied for stay and quash in the HC. An interim stay was granted which was vacated and the case was sent back to Magistrate court for conducting the case. Pending at this stage.
