Varanasi Adheenam at Manikarnika Ghat carries a special significance for followers of His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda as this is the place where He experienced a conscious death experience during his time as a wandering monk. It is a pilgrimage place for followers of His Divine Holiness who visit the aadheenam here as well as the Ghat.
The location was flowering, connecting with the local community through various socio-religious activities including televised daily Satsangs by His Divine Holiness, puja, free anna daan (food), free homeopathic medicines, free schooling for poor children.
Every year His holiness attracts thousands of followers in the city who comes to learn the authentic Hinduism in the sacred land of Varanasi. Swamiji was accepted widely among the spiritual leaders as the voice of Hindus.
Despite of the fact that Swamiji was working with utmost dedication for the revival of sanantana Hindudharma but His ashram was shut down and he was attacked in varanasi.
