The attack on His Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda
A diabolical attempt of character assassination of a prominent Hindu leader such as His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda has been witnessed recently. Paid Media sensationalized the case of false rape victim, Aarathi Rao. Simultaneously, the case of a morphed video of Paramahamsa Nithyananda which aims to destroy his image was broadcasted on national and international TV channels overnight, hurting religious sentiments of thousands of devotees. Anti- Hindu elements and conspirators kept no stone unturned to meticulously vandalize Nithyananda Peetam’s property everywhere.
The dehumanizing attacks targeting Hindus and Hindu sentiments involved:
- Attacking and Vandalizing the temples and Hindu Monastries that were enriching the society
- Raising defaming slogans and Burning effigies of His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda in public places

The paid media attack involved character-assassination of Paramahamsa Nithyananda, by spreading false cases, lies and atrocity literature that influenced even strong Hindu leaders like Arjun Sampath and Solai Kannan of Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK). They were initially grossly misled by the atrocity literature generated against Paramahamsa Nithyananda.
They strongly protested against Paramahamsa Nithyananda and even declared Him “Dead to Hinduism,” causing extreme pain and suffering to millions of His followers.
They burnt His effigies, protested, demonstrated, and violently destroyed Aadheenam (temple-monastery complex) property until they realized the truth about the false sensational propaganda created against Him and joined hands with Him.
Eventually, when they realized that they were merely used as an instrument to attack their own Religious Hindu Leader they deeply regretted their actions, publicly apologised and strongly supported His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda. 2010/03/03 – First attack: In Thiruvannamalai Aadheenam by HMK
The Tiruvannamalai Aadheenam in South India – the very birthplace of Paramahamsa Nithyananda was first attacked. The temple city which stands as a symbol for great enlightened beings and incarnations such as Paramahamsa Nithyananda, bore this attack with a rude shock.
The Sanyasi who was serving Anna dhan (free night meals) to the Sadhus (wandering mendicants) was dragged like a criminal outside the gate and beaten mercilessly. That very incident was relayed live by all news channels projecting that the common public was attacking Paramahamsa Nithyananda’s property and Hindu leaders didn’t want His presence there. -
2010/03/04 – HMK attacked 12 Ashrams in One day in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, India
HMK attacked all the aadheenams belonging to Paramahamsa Nithyananda immediately after the morphed video broke out. All the adheenams in south India cities namely Bangalore, Salem, Namakkal, Hosur, Madurai, Karipatti, Sattanathapuram, Nagapattinam, Thovalai, Rajapalayam, Kanchipuram, and Thiruvannamalai were inhumanly attacked.

2012/04/27 – HMK protested the appointment of Paramahamsa Nithyananda as 293 Pontiff of Madurai Aadheenam.

The 292nd Pontiff of Madurai Aadheenam in a grand traditional ceremony carried which has been happening since more than 292 generations, had selected and appointed his successor on 27/04/2012 and ordained him as The 293rd Guru Maha Sannidhanam, Sri La Sri Paramahamsa Sri Nithyananda Sri Thirugnanasambanda Desiga Paramachariya Swamigal. The political parties such as HMK, Devar Desiya Peravai, Bharatha Sena and Bharathiya Forward Block parties were in opposition to the coronation of Paramahamsa Nithyananda as the 293rd pontiff. HMK informed that they would be doing continuous protest against Paramahamsa Nithyananda until the control of Madurai Aadheenam was taken away from him.
HMK continuously attacked Paramahamsa Nithyananda to remove Him from Madurai Aadheenam. They organized large gatherings, spread rumors and lies about the Madurai Adheenam “situation,” gave false information to people through print and social media, filed false complaints to the State Government, and constantly created law and order problems. They continuously harassed Him by giving false and frivolous media statements and gathered heads and representatives of other Mutts in large meetings in order to spread their false ideas and opinions about Paramahamsa Nithyananda. They literally tried to force Him out of Madurai Aadheenam.

Activists from the Dravida Kazhagam (DK) put up banners around their locality announcing an Anti-poonal fest, where they would put a poonal (sacred white thread of Sanatana Hindu Dharma called the Yagnopavita that is worn to symbolically keeping the seeker on the highest path to enlightenment) on pigs to protest against the so-called discrimination that poonal represents. 2017/07/22 – Paramahamsa Nithyananda’s warning to DK:
Paramahamsa Nithyananda gave a very strong public statement during his Satsang against Dravida Kazhagam for their Anti-poonal fest, and also gave the deeper understandings about the tradition, and how it was being misrepresented and then targetted by DK and other parties. He said, “Some Tamil Nadu atheist organizations are trying to put Yagnopavitam for pigs in a very derogatory, abusive way, and they’re trying to do this as a protest to disrespect the tradition of Yagnopavita. First of all, I wanted them to know Yagnopavita is not restricted to one community, Brahmins as you think. It belongs to all whole Hindus. That is the first thing. The second thing I want to tell. As a practitioner of Agama, who used Yagnopavita on himself, means I used Yagnopavita on Me, and I promote thousands of people – I’ve initiated in Yagnopavita, I and my Sangha strongly protest, oppose this kind of a disrespectful context act. Third, understand, for us even pig is sacred, but you are not doing from that sentiment. You are doing this act to abuse and disrespect us, which can not be accepted, which will not be welcome, and this is not the nineteen sixties. Understand, all these stupid things you can do, not after nineteen seventy-eight. For us even pig is a representation of Varaha (A Hindu incarnation) and we’ve already put Yagnopavita on him and we are worshipping him — but we will not equate that and what you are trying to do. 2017/09/11 – Solai Kannan of HMK gave a public apology to His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda.
On 11-September-2017, HMK leader Solai Kannan gave a public apology to His Divine Holiness, where they supported Him in the Pavalakundru case in Thiruvannamalai where another Hindu attack happened. His public statement was,”Some raised questions that we opposed His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda when he was coronated as Head of Madurai Aadheenam in the past. Yes, it was, but regret the mistake we did at that time. We believed that Madurai Aadheenam Head and Other Aadheenam Heads will save Hinduism and stop religious conversion. So, we opposed His Divine Holiness Nithyananda Swami, but we really ashamed of it. No one has bravely raised the voice for the Yagnopaveetha (Sacred Thread) other than His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda. No other Hindu Mutt Head came forward to speak About the terrorism, Anti Hindu elements and religious conversion other than Him because of fear. But His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda made a strong statement that if Yagnopaveetha is put on a pig then we will put a black shirt (of DK Party) on the same pig. On 11-September-2017, Arjun Sampath gave the following statement in support of Paramahamsa Nithyananda, “Once we had some issues with Him but we cannot tolerate these Atheists and communists attacking the Hindu Shiva tradition. We won’t keep quiet if any attack happens on Hinduism and we need to take action against them, for this reason only the Hindu Makkal party was found. In the past Hindu Makkal party made some strike against Paramahamsa Nithyananda but now onwards we will not allow any attacks on Hindu Gurus.”

Solai Kannan: “Dear Friends, we’ve opposed Paramahamsa Nithyananda when he was coronated as Madurai Aadheenam and we are regretting what we did in the past. In Tamilnadu, the anti-Hindu elements and political parties are ganged up for the sake of money and to oppose the BJP and its influence in TN. Therefore, in order to save the Hindu Santana Dharma, its legitimacy and its people from the Anti Hindu elements such as the Religious Missionaries and Dravida parties, we need to support and work with His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda. He also said that the only eligible person to be Madurai Aadheenam (head of the Shaiva mutt in Madurai) is Paramahamsa Nithyananda. Further, they claimed, “As of now all Hindu elements have ganged up together and trying to degrade Hinduism and its people. For example recently, Dravida Kalagam party stated that they’re going to put Yagnopaveetha (sacred thread) to Pigs. For this issue, no Hindu priest commented or opposed regarding this issue. But He is the only one who made the strong statement, ‘If Yagnopaveetha (sacred thread) is going to put on a Pig by Dravida Kalagam party, we will put the black shirt on the same Pig’. This one statement created a huge respect and reverence for Him. So, only Sri Paramahamsa Nithyananda is capable of stopping the anti-Hindu elements and the religious conversion of Christianity missionaries…
He continued, “On the festival day of Lord Ganesha, In my dream, Lord Shiva and Devi Parvathi with Lord Ganapathi and Lord Murugan appeared and told that Thirunavukarasu was not fit for the Aadheenam and also said that Arunagirinathar became mad in 2012 itself. They said that Sri Paramahamsa Nithyananda was the only eligible person for Madurai Aadheenam and they disappeared. Let the good may happen hereafter. So we’re ready to join hands with Sri Paramahamsa Nithyananda for the sake of Hinduism and the Divinity of the country and we will raise our voice if any issue occurs. Not only that, the Aadheenam and the priests who aren’t supporting the growth and values of Hindu tradition, we will show their real faces to the public. So already there is a case pending in the Madurai court, that the Madurai Aadheenam should be surrendered to Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, but still, Thirunavukarasu is coronated as the 293rd Head of Madurai Aadheenam which is not valid and it is disrespecting the Court. So we warn the State government that we will create a huge strike against Arunagirinathar. For this issue, we went to Madurai Aadheenam many times but he replied as ‘Leave Now and Come Tomorrow’.
