Sun TV is India’s largest media Conglomerate has powerpacked 33 TV Channels with the reach of more than 95 million households in India. SunTV Network’s channels can be viewed in 27 countries. The channel is largely watched by the mainstream South Indian populous with its syndicated broadcasting in several other countries.
Sun TV emerged as the propagandist media which grossly violated not only the basic Journalism ethics and standards, but proved as a scandal-mongering corrupted media of inhumane proportions. To further its agenda, it used one of the most powerful tools of ‘mass media broadcasting’ to tenaciously run criminal and extortion schemes under the guise of a popular, leading, public interest media house.
Running a highly-conspired criminal media trial, master minded by faceless Anti-hindu elements, they broadcasted ‘sensational and spicy’ morphed videos, false derogatory TV shows, malicious panel discussions – inflicting on people unending verbal violence, perverted false visuals, deceptive news, eye-torturing profane graphics and outrightly exaggerated fake shows through its stigmatising media campaigns, aired repeatedly.

To effect mass crowd manipulation to negatively influence and emotionally program and control the perceptions of public at large, they ran a serial media trial using a ‘morphed fake video’ in March 2010 using ‘deep fake video technology, targeting the untaintable glory of His Divine Holiness – all with the criminal intent to character assassinate. The fake video ran havoc on television and social media, continuously aired and virally spread – using sensationalism, fabricated lies to provoke mass hate and hysteria against Hindu spiritual leadership denouncing the very foundations of the purest, revered spiritual traditions. All the while, Sun TV’s criminal propaganda and greed, increased its channel viewerships and media sharings to unprecedented numbers, in what came to be the largest attempt of religious persecution and gross human rights violations.
Within a few years, the judicial and cosmic justice prevailed! The very ground of SUN TV channel’s criminal propaganda began collapsing, when the owner of Sun TV Dayanidhi Maran got nailed by the CBI in a 2G Scam worth $1.7 lakh crore and was forced to resign from his political stance.

NEW DELHI: A day after he was nailed by the CBI in the 2G spectrum allocation scam, Union textile minister Dayanidhi Maran on Thursday met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and handed over his resignation.

According to Times Now, Dayanidhi Maran was the first to leave 7 Race Course Road, Prime Minister’s residence, soon after the meeting ended. He is scheduled to fly out to Chennai later this evening. Maran’s resignation comes ahead of a cabinet reshuffle that may happen as early as next week. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was under pressure to drop him to signal a tough stance against a raft of graft cases that have emerged in recent months. Maran declined to make any comment when television reporters asked him if he had left the cabinet. Earlier in the day, BJP leader Arun Jaitley had said that Dayanidhi Maran had run out of options and he should quit. He further added that the Prime Minister cannot look away after the developments in connection with the 2G scam. AIADMK too had said that there was no use expecting Dayanidhi Maran to take responsibility and the Prime Minister should simply drop him. On Wednesday, the CBI told the Supreme Court that its preliminary inquiry into the allegation of Sivasankaran, a serial entrepreneur known as Siva in business circles, suggested that Maran starved Aircel of new licences to bully him into selling out.

New Delhi: Union Minister of Textiles Dayanidhi Maran resigned from Union Cabinet on Thursday following allegations that he arm-twisted Aircel owner C Sivasankaran to sell his 74 per cent stake to Maxis group of Malaysia. Sources have told CNN-IBN that Maran met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh after a routine Cabinet meeting and submitted his resignation. The meeting between Maran and Singh at the Prime Minister’s 7 Race Course Road residence in New Delhi, which was the second one on Thursday, lasted for five minutes after which he resigned. He also met Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Sources told CNN-IBN that Singh Sonia Gandhi spoke to DMK chief M Karunanidhi on Wednesday night about Maran. Karunanidhi reportedly gave the go ahead after which Maran resigned on Thursday. The Prime Minister also discussed the Maran’s alleged role in the Aircel-Maxis deal with Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Home Minister P Chidambaram, Law Minister M Veerappa Moily, HRD and Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal and Attorney General Goolam E Vahanvati separately. However, there is no official confirmation of Maran’s resignation from the Union Cabinet. Maran is the second Union Minister and DMK leader to step down from the Cabinet following allegations of involvement in the 2G spectrum scam after former telecom minister A Raja. Raja and DMK MP and Karunanidhi’s daughter Kanimozhi have already been arrested in the 2G scam and are presently lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail. DMK MP TR Baalu is likely to replace Maran in the Cabinet.
However, sources say that the Congress is not keen on having Baalu in the Cabinet. According to sources, Maran recused himself from the Cabinet meeting when the FM licence issue was being discussed. Maran’s Sun Network runs FM channels and it his presence would have been seen as a conflict of interest. DMK’s arch rival the AIADMK welcomed Maran’s resignation.
“It’s good that Maran has resigned. His stay had become untenable,” said AIADMK leader V Maithreyan.
“Madame Jayalalithaa will decide when the question comes of support to UPA,” he replied when asked if his party would now join the Congress-led alliance at the Centre.
“Maran’s resignation was expected. He should have resigned long time back. The allegations against him are serious,” said CPI leader D Raja.
“The Prime Minister must explain. He is responsible for the behaviour of his MPs,” he added.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in its report to the Supreme Court on Wednesday implicated Maran, who was the telecom minister between 2004 and 2007, in the 2G spectrum scam saying that initial enquiry revealed that he deliberately sat on Aircel’s licence application. The DMK has neither reacted to his resignation nor the CBI’s move to name him in its report on the Aircel-Maxis deal. Initial reports revealed that Maran delayed the file in spite of unanimous recommendation from Department of Telecom (DoT) officials.
The CBI’s preliminary enquiry also reveals an element of coercion in Maran’s dealing with Aircel. In its report, the CBI has held the former telecom minister responsible for coercing Aircel promoter C Sivasankaran into selling his 74 per cent stake to Maxis. Maran is likely to be questioned by the CBI before an FIR is registered to take his version on Sivasankaran’s allegations. Sivasankaran had earlier testified before the CBI that Maran had forced him to sell his stake in Aircel by repeatedly denying telecom licences to him. Shivasankaran eventually sold out to Maxis whose owner is reportedly close to the Maran brothers. Maxis later invested Rs 750 crore in Maran’s brother Kalanidhi Maran’s company. Former telecom secretary Nripendra Mishra also told the CBI that Maran deliberately raised questions about Aircel’s sisters concerns and newspaper reports appearing about the company when it was not needed. The CBI said that prima facie it had evidence to show that Loop Telecoms was a front company of Essar.
The premier investigation body told the Supreme Court that Essar also stood corporate guarantee for Loop when it applied for state bank of India loan. “Essar was the group behind Loop but two days before the grant of Unified Access Service Licence (UASL) license they reduced their stake to approx 2 per cent. Also, Essar stood corporate guarantee for Loop when it applied for state bank of India loan,” The CBI told the Supreme Court. The apex court, however, observed that this did raise questions about the role of the banks in the way they granted loans. Officials said that the CBI Investigations into telecom deal from 2001 to 2008 will be completed by the end of September, 2011. The Supreme Court, however, expressed its reservation about retired judges giving opinion in the 2G scam and that the CBI should continue with its investigation to reach a logical conclusion. The CBI report was immediately used by Maran’s arch rival to demand his dismissal from union council of ministers.

The Public Accounts Committee chairman Murli Manohar Joshi said Textiles Minister Dayanidhi Maran played a crucial role in starting the 2G spectrum scam. According to Joshi, Maran was instrumental in changing the spectrum pricing while he was the telecom minister. All the powers vested with the group of ministers on spectrum pricing were transferred to the telecom department. This is how India’s biggest scam was born. The allegation against Maran is that he favoured a Malaysian company Maxis while granting telecom licences, which later invested Rs 600 crore (Rs 6 billion) for a 20 per cent stake in Sun Direct, owned by his brother Kalanidhi Maran. Nithyanand has named Kalanidhi Maran, alleging this is being done to defame him and is all happening due to personal vendetta.
Q: What is your main contention now? Do you blame Kalanidhi Maran for the entire controversy?
A: What I’m saying, whoever we have evidence, we have described all those names in our complaints. So whatever evidence we have, we are providing to the police. The names I can name, Nakheeran Gopal, Nakheeran Kamaraj, Saxena and Ayyappan, lawyer Shridar, who is claiming to a representative of Sun TV and Nakheeran. These names only I can directly tell as we have evidences for that.
Q: Do you blame Kalanidhi Maran, Do you suspect Kalanidhi Maran is behind all these?
A: I can give a separate press meet on this. See, for example, if he’s my right hand, 24 hours he’s with me. If he does anything, will you not suspect me? So the same human mind.

A: The CD is completely misrepresented, manipulated, morphed.
Q: What further actions are you planning to take on Sun TV?
A: I am actually collecting all the evidences of their religious persecution on our organisation and all these evidences and the chargesheet which is going to be filed by the police will be submitted to International Religious Freedom Commission and we will request, actually already the US Hindu Federation taken this matter into cognizance, they are going to submit a request to the Religious Freedom Commission and request them to blacklist Sun TV and their whole officials.
Q: Do you think there could be a hand of DMK in this?
A: I am not suspecting DMK. Still many top DMK people come to my ashram, for spiritual reasons, healing and all that, so I don’t suspect DMK.
