Sri Nithya Atmaprabhananda
On 7th June 2012, His Divine Holiness held a press meet in his headquarters in Bidadi near Bangalore to address the false allegations against him. A reporter from the infamous Suvarna News Channel disrupted the press meet by trying to illegally handover an unidentified package to His Divine Holiness. He was told to leave the hall when ashramites (monastery residnets) sensed that he may be a threat to all. Then, he and a team of goons started assaulting and harassing ashramites.

In the evening – Media Mob of 50 attack the Monastery
Suvarna’s OB van arrived around 6 pm at the ashram gates, along with about 50 individuals armed with weapons. When ashramites went to inquire about the matter, about 10 of the thugs scaled the locked gates of the ashram, entered the premises illegally and started assaulting our ashramites. One of them was the ashram administrator, Sri Nithya Atmaprabhananada.
In a clear attempt to murder, the mob pushed Sri Nithya Atmaprabhananda to the ground and assaulted him with a huge stone, causing severe head injuries and profuse bleeding. He was immediately rushed to the hospital.
When this whole incident was taking place, Suvarna TV’s OB van was standing outside the ashram gates. Suvarna News Channel was airing this assault LIVE on their channel.
