“I was sent there to build a temple for MahaSadashiva: a huge temple and monastery complex. When I went there, it became the headquarters for all of Tamil Nadu Sangha. Tamil Publications sector of Nithyananda University Press was stationed there and also so many devotees and volunteers would come to assist with the various social service and spiritual actives we were providing. We were serving thousands of people Anna Daan (free Sattvic food) and conducted Kalpataru Yoga and other mediation programs and classes. We also would do spiritual healing, and even Third Eye healing to the thousands that came. It was a very lively and enriching place!
We came to understand that the majority of people in the surrounding communities were anti-Hindus and they did not like that we were having so many activities there.”

“We were continuously on edge, wondering when the next threat would come from Anti-Hindu elements. One incident happened in which many attackers came in the night, 11-12pm, and were throwing giant stones at the containers which we used for storage and also living quarters.
In the morning, assassins arrived at the aadheenam for no purpose other than to find His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda and kill him. Not finding him, they began to verbally abuse us sanyasis living there who were all females, calling us prostitutes, making sexual comments and other derogatory remarks, including threats of physical harm.
By afternoon, they had cut the electric wire which connected the entire living community to electricity. We were forced to run on the limited power of a generator, fearing to be in darkness in the nighttime.
The electric current was still out and the generator’s fuel was finished. So the attackers took advantage of the time and began throwing stones into darkness. Unable to see what was coming, we were bombarded and hit with the stones. We rushed into one container, did our best to secure the door, and sat in the darkness huddled together, unsure when we were going to be able to come out. With each loud ‘thud’ of the large boulders hitting the containers, we shook with fear, praying the container would stay secure, our presence undetected. It was a long night of emotional torture.”

“We would not leave that place, despite the events, because the vision for the greater good was large: we were providing spiritual solace and social service for thousands, desiring to put a temple and even hospital for the people of Chennai. But what happened next shook us to our core; it is only our faith in Mahasadashiva and the eternal Grace of our Guru, Paramahamsa Nithyananda that I’m alive today to relate the following atrocities.
Like a swarm of bees, about 150 people descended upon Trishulam Aadheenam. At the time, I was in 1 container where I was running a spiritual TV show, sharing the truths of Swamiji with the Tamil-speaking world and also taking calls from people who needed spiritual suggestions. Began to hear the too familiar thud of huge stones hitting the roof of the container. My heart racing, I ran outside.
I could see one vehicle turned over and a large number of people surrounding each container, throwing large rocks. Glass and debris were flying everywhere – they were literally tearing down our campus! In the chaos, I was surprised to note several media people filming the whole incident, but none moved to help us. And where were the police?
Somehow, we got into one container unnoticed. A bit later, rocks broke open the windows and the door. We ran and squeezed together in the farthest corner, covering ourselves with a blanket. We could hear some women speaking outside saying each container should be searched by throwing rocks, to make sure no one was left, ‘We should not leave them, we should kill them all.’ We held our breath, wondering if the next moment would be our last.
Suddenly, sever rocks hit were we were hiding under the blanket. Sheer will kept us from moving so the attackers thought the place was empty! What a blessing. We just kept praying to Swamiji and within some time, the police showed up, the attackers dispersed.”

When they came out of the container after the police arrived, they could not believe the complete destruction of the campus and to their horror, one of their sister sanyasis was attacked in another container, nearly raped and murdered, needing immediate medical attention.
A police complaint was filed against the anti-Hindu attackers. However, no action was taken. The Sanyasis felt helpless and persisted with the police for action to deter further attacks, but their pleas went unheard.
Not knowing what else to do during the attack, Dr Ma Nithya Atmapriyananda Swami went onto Facebook Live to record the Atrocities being Done to Them:
VIDEO TRANSCRIPT:
Right now at the Trishulam aadheenam, we are going thru a brutal attack by local rowdies and instigated by Krishnan, Indrarani. These local rowdies who are Victor, Sundar who all doing it illegally and have encroached our land and completely smashed our office, temple. The stone size is enough to kill somebody.
`We are bleeding, the stones hit her head’.
`There is a plan murder attack brutally on sanyasis. It is a planned attack’.
When the first attack started, I heard yelling outside, then one woman came across the door and yelling in Tamil. When she saw me, she yelled, `Hit here. Make sure, you get them’, and that is when the first stone came and hit the glass and completely hit across me and the glass hit my face and scratched my face and here you can see. I ran across and we all stayed in the hiding spot for at least 1 hour. We just having our breakfast and continuing our work peacefully when from nowhere, they started attacking us.
Not only that, when they knew where we were hiding, they started throwing big stones where we are. They even try to get the exact corner where we are, where we were hiding trying to save our lives. These at least happen for 1 hour. Just in silence, rock is hitting us.
