In a blatant mockery of justice, Sri Nithya Mahakartananda – a 35-year-old doctor and Brahmachari of His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda – and his 19-year-old niece, Ma Nithya Sadashivananda (also a Brahmacharini), were kidnapped in broad daylight. What’s worse, these actions were initiated by their own parents and helped by hooligans and the local police.
Manoj Kumar (33) and Nivedha (19) hailed from a farmer family of Madurai voluntarily joined Nithyananda Peetam, Bengaluru Aadheenam in the month of May 2017 based on their own interests to pursue the spiritual lifestyle. The family members of Manoj Kumar are long term devotees since 2007. Manoj Kumar , his 2 sisters Lokambal, Vanitha along with her children Nivedha, Rithika Devi, Niranjan Vasudev joined the Aadheenam voluntarily as permanent residents in the month of May 2017 to devote themselves for the spiritual lifestyle and service for humanity. After few months, Vanitha and Lokambal was informed that her parents are admitted in hospital due to severe health conditions and they rushed to visit them, when they realized it’s a false story and her orange robe of monastic lifestyle was disrobed brutally and locked up in the room . Similar attempts were made to get Manoj Kumar and Nivedha back to their home which they denied and wanted to stay back. A false complaint instigated and influenced by the anti Hindu forces backed by political support was lodged against His Divine Holiness P stating Kidnap of minor Nivedha and Manoj Kumar being brainwashed and hypnotized by devotees of His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda. False birth certificate was filed stating that Nivedha was a minor. Nivedha was a clear major born in the year 2000. Attached below the Aadhar card details which was produced while joining the Gurukul of Nithyananda Peetam, Bengaluru Aadheenam. Tamil Nadu Police was issued warrant for investigating Manoj Kumar and Nivedha directly, without the interference of local Bidadi Police which was deliberately backed by political power . Nithyananda Peetam cooperated and allowed Manoj Kumar and Nivedha supported by guardian Rishi Advaitananda to attend the legal proceedings. On the way to Madurai Police Station it was informed that a mass crowd of hundreds of hired assasins had swarmed to attack the guardian coming along with Manoj and Nivedha. Rishi Advait was forced to move out from the police station . Meanwhile police took to a different station and asked Manoj and Nivedha to sign an already written statement that they have been kidnapped by Paramahamsa Nithyananda through His devotees and police rescued them . Manoj denied to sign and teared the document and written a statement by himself and it was presented to local magistrate . Manoj presented that out of his own will he became the resident of Nithyananda Peetam, Bengaluru Aadheenam. As a major he decided upon his own will to be resident of Aadheenam . By law, the case could have been dismissed stating the major decided upon his own will to be resident of Nithyananda Peetam. But the magistrate appointed an investigation officer to take further proceedings while Manoj was clear in his statements about his decisions . Manoj and Nivedha were taken to an unidentified nearby forest by the Investigating Officer, were threatened and beaten up to give statements mentioning they were kidnapped by Paramahamsa Nithyananda in an attempt to issue arrest warrant against Paramahamsa Nithyananda. Both denied to do the same. They were threatened that if they further decided to go back to Aadheenam, false complaint will be framed against Paramahamsa Nithyananda. Frightened by this, they were forced to decide to go home and give in writing that until legally settled with his father; Manoj would not get back to Nithyananda Peetam. In every movement of the case, it was very evident that anti Hindu forces backed by political support used all power to brutally remove Manoj and Nivedha from Aadheenam and threaten them to make statements that they were kidnapped in order to frame Paramahamsa Nithyananda legally and arrest Him. Anti Hindu forces used distressed parent’s emotions to attack Paramahamsa Nithyananda while the ignorant parents were supported by vested interests groups.
They were residing at the aadheenam voluntarily as they wished to live a life of service to humanity. The kidnappers forged Ma Nithya Sadashivananda [Nivetha’s] birth certificate and the proof of her age. They crossed the state border from Tamil Nadu to Karnataka with an order to forcibly take her away.
Based on this false information, the police arrested Sri Nithya Mahakartananda [Manoj] and Ma Nithya Sadashivananda [Nivetha] and forcibly moved them from Karnataka to Tamil Nadu in the name of taking them to court. The next day, in court, the police said openly that Ma Nithya Sadashivananda is a major, following which her whole family tried to brainwash her into going away with her parents. The police allowed her parents to whisk her away, knowing that she is an adult who made her own decision to live in the adheenam. To date, both of them are missing. It is not even known if they are alive.
Before going offline, Sri Nithya Mahakartananda Maharaj made the following Facebook post (copied and pasted from his profile):
I am Manoj (35 ) yr old and my sisters daughter Nivetha (19 ) yr old
We were living as brahmacharis happily and willfully in Nithyananda Ashram for the last 6 months.
2 weeks ago, my parents and my sister filed a false complaint that Nivetha is a minor in thiruvannamalai police station. The issue was resolved in bidadi police station where we appeared and showed a clear aadhar card proof that Nivetha is a major and both of us gave written and video testimonials that we are willfully and happily living in Nithyananda Peetham, Bidadi.
Day before yesterday, police from Periya Kulam and Bidadi station came to Bidadi ashram and showed a photocopy of a forged school transfer certificate of Nivetha claiming that she is a minor and the parents had filed a missing complaint and a FIR copy was produced. I questioned the inspector that they did not even verify if the certificate was original and why did they filed FIR without verifying the authenticity of the document. I was shunned down and asked to produce the originals in front of the magistrate.
We went along with the police to the Bidadi police station and filed the status that we are going to be produced in front of the magistrate in Periya Kulam. The Nithyananda Gurukul principals followed us to assure our safety.
On our way to Periya Kulam, my phone was snatched away and the inspector threatened the principals to get back as 150 people are waiting on the village border and it is not safe for them to enter. Further, when we were produced in front of the magistrate, it was clearly mentioned in the open court that both of us are major and we can make our decisions.
If the fact that we are major is clearly known to the police prior, then what was the need for them to get us from Bidadi in a illegal way.
Further from the court, we were taken to a private forest area. We were beaten up and were made to write a statement saying Nivetha will stay back with her mother and I will come back after dropping my kavi (dropping the vows of monkhood in Hinduism is represented when you choose to no longer wear the saffron cloth you were given during your initiation) . After this incident, we were taken to police station where we were denied access to even speak to our lawyer to explain what had happened.
Now I am in a house, locked up in a room, denied food and water and injured, my phone is running out of battery and there is no charge.
My sister’s daughter is also locked up separately.
We need the higher officials ( Madurai commissioner) and media to rescue us immediately.
I am really afraid that our lives are at stake and they will even kill us but not let us to live as per our wish .
Please rescue
