Struggling to make ends meet, she gave into her greed when approached by the primary conspirators, Lenin Karuppan and Vinay Bharadwaj. Finally, all her plans backfired on her when US Judiciary found that her complaints were baseless, and charged her for abusing the judicial system and damaging the reputation of Swami Nithyananda. With huge fees to be paid in damages, to her lawyers, and as fine, she was left penniless. She declared bankruptcy.
Understanding that she has to face $500 million judgments from the US courts, Rao and her husband wanted to disassociate from each other to protect their joint assets (their Michigan House) and the husband’s personal assets. Again, they improperly used US court system to file for Divorce. A divorce that never happened in the U.S.
