A devotee of another Hindu Mutt (monastery) filed a petition against Paramahamsa Nithyananda claiming that He kidnapped Arunagirinatha Paramsariyar Swamigal, the Head of Madurai Aadheenam, the world’s most ancient religious organization. The petition was dismissed when Arunagirinatha Paramachaarya Swamigal filed an affidavit denying these allegations.
T. Gurusamy Desikar, a devotee of Dharamapuram Mutt, filed a petition against His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda, falsely accusing Him of kidnapping Arunagirinatha Paramsariyar Swamigal, the Head of Madurai Aadheenam. He claims that Paramahamsa Nithyananda influenced Arunagirinatha Paramsariyar Swamigal to get Himself appointed as the next Head of Madurai Aadheenam, the 293 Pontiff.
Arunagirinatha Paramsariyar Swamigal himself filed an affidavit on 3 May 2012 stating that he denies the allegations made by T. Gurusamy Desikar and that he was not kidnapped by Paramahamsa Nithyananda. He further asserts that he is of sound mind and body and with full intention, made His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda his successor and the next Head of Madurai Aadheenam. In his petition, he expresses that T. Gurusamy Desikar’s actions are insulting, scandalous, and motivated by malice.
