The auspicious occasion of Thaipusam turned into a terror, mobs started to bully and harass women, even the kids were in danger

Thaipusam is the day we celebrate the victory of Lord Muruga over the demons that plagued humanity so many millenia ago; what was meant to be a celebration of goodness over evil sadly descended into just the opposite: a devastating blow against Dharma.
On this auspicious occasion of Thaipusam in 2017, Nithyananda Sangha Malaysia offered Annadhaan, the distribution of free food and drinks, to thousands of devotees who visited the Batu Caves. Nithyananda Yogis were introducing the authentic teachings of Sanatana Hindu Dharma by demonstrating the sacred secret sciences of ‘Shaktis’, Powers of Third-Eye Awakening as revealed by SadaShiva in the Agamas.
Around midnight while these peaceful activities were still going on, a mob of more than 50 violent thugs, led by Janagan, an anti-Hindu element, barricaded the entrance, and started to incite the crowd against Nithyananda devotees.
They abused and vandalized the sacred space. These thugs demanded that the Atma Murthi (energized deity of His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda) be removed immediately and threatened to destroy the booth and the deity, if we do not obey their abusing orders.
The mob spared neither innocent women nor children, bullying and harassing everyone in sight, threatened even kids in front of their terrified mothers. “Take those damn things off and throw them,” they terrorized the minor monks (Sannyasis), about the prayer beads bearing on them.
What started out as a sacred event turned into a nightmare by barbaric hooligans. All the devotees were held hostage.
The female monks (sanyasinis and brahmacharinis) managed to escape when their spiritual brothers risked their lives to create a diversion, and called the police for protection. However, to everyone’s shock and horror, the police scoffed at the cry for help, failing to recognize or acknowledge the reality of the threat. No action was taken or arrest was made. In fact, no security was given at all to the terrified religious minority group, as the gangsters destroyed their peaceful gathering. When even the public began to cry to the police demanding justice, they at last persuaded the lead and his gang to leave, but did not file a single complaint or charge against the men for vocalizing death threats, sexually assaulting women or urge to destroy the property.
