During April 2010, the CID Police of Ramanagaram District arrested Sri Nithyananda Swami for the certain sexual offences allegedly committed by him. In this background, the press as well as the media have depicted all the female disciples of the Ashram as prostitutes.
Amongst them, is Chitreswari alias Ma Nithya Pranavananda who suffered a relentless Charecter assasination, just because she was a female disciple of swamiji and that she decided to stand by her guru, stand by the truth during the religious persecution against His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda . She files a complaint against a Tamil Bi Weekly magazine for blackeing her dignity on a public forum.
She belonged to an austere family with deep roots in society. A Post- graduate in M.A and M.Phil , she had been serving as a Lecturer in a Government Arts College prior to her joining the ashram.
Hailing from such a respected family, and being initiated into the sacred path of sannyas, the trauma, humiliation and suffering that she had to handle single -handedly is undeniable. Having given up her career, family, everything, Ma Pranava had decided to dedicate her life to Swamiji’s mission of enriching the world through life solutions, meditation and healing. Such was her commitment to the care of society.
Tamil Magazine “Nakkeeran”, insensitive to the dignity of a woman, thoughtless about her suffering, publishes baseless articles in their publication refering to the complainant as if she has fallen prey to Swami’s alleged sexual assault. The cover title of the magazine read as “Merriment in Holy Kumbh Mela-The secret behind Nithyananda mesmerising young women.”It was published as if Lenin, the Chief conspirator behind the morphed video had testemented. The magazine is published in the state of Tamil Nadu and has a wide circulation and also is published online.
It is undeniable that the publication is grossly indecent and the scandalous publication has ruined her image in the society, she had sworn to serve.
Lenin has been mentioned as the informant for a series of porno style articles that were published about ashramites and Swamiji in the Nakkheeran Tamil yellow magazine. Following is a case pertaining to that:
Criminal defamation Case filed on Lenin and Nakkheeran Tamil magazine by Ma Nithya Pranavananda in the Bangalore Junior Magistrate Court (Ref.:) for perverted reference to her in the article dated 23-26, March, 2010 titled “Merriment in Holy Kumbh Mela- The secret behind Nithyananda mesmerizing young women” and article dated 03-06 July, 2010 “Swami has special liking towards me-Blabbered nithya Preetananda”.
Ma Nithya Pranavananda gave a police complaint. The case is now awaiting sworn statement.
