5 August 2014 : The Supreme Court of India stayed order on medical test of Nithyananda. The case had been pending since 2010 in Ramanagaram Court.
September 3, 2014 : The bench expressed its displeasure, at the speed with which the investigation was proceeding. Swami Nithyananda expressed his voluntary interest to undergo potency test which would help him quash the false case. The Supreme Court of India ruled that Paramahamsa Nithyananda will take potency test. SC allowed it under these circumstances, as otherwise it is a violation of dignity of the people undergoing through this test.

Sufferings of someone falsely accused of rape
In such false rape cases, people have been in jails for decades, lost their family and loved ones, where they either died or were sent to orphanages.
