‘Why there was no pain is because there is no conflict between the muscle memory and the attitude to life. There is no questioning of life. Life is guru. Only approach life with acceptance or gratitude. Understand, your prarabdha is different, mine is different, his is different. That is why you can’t look at everybody’s life equally. If you question why everyone is not treated equally it will lead to suffering. Suffering happens when you don’t have this understanding… There is nothing called mistake in life except not having this understanding.’ 14 June 2011, 7am, BENGALURU ADHEENAM Swamiji was on His usual rounds on the chocolate brown horse, Shashivarnan. An enlightened being never stops exploring life. Enlightenment is ultimate, not final. He enjoys and explores every moment the different dimensions of life. Swamiji was also ‘learning’ horse-riding since the past few days. Swami-ji mounted the horse close to Manasarovar, the beautiful natural lake at the Bengaluru Adheenam. He then rode horseback with the horse slowly being walked by the trainer. The Adheenavasis (residents of Adheenam) started cheering loudly and coupled with the loud music there, the horse got distracted. It bucked and Swamiji fell off the horse. His hand hit the ground. His shoe was stuck on the saddle. It was a complicated fracture – Type I open fracture of both the bones of the right forearm. The doctor said, ‘This is the worst fracture – multiple, compound, dislocated, fragmented. It is a multiple fracture – 2 bones broken. It is a compound fracture – the bone pierced through the skin at the time of fracture. It is a dislocated fracture where the X-ray clearly shows the 2 bones displaced and one piece over the other. It is a fragmented fracture – the bone has broken with more than 3 fragments.’ With this kind of worst fracture, Swamiji experienced absolutely NO pain, of course NO suffering, from the time of fracture at 7 am till the time of surgery at 2:30 pm – 7 and half hours! He was smiling and teaching the ultimate Truths. He had no painkiller as there was no pain to kill. During this entire period Swami-ji revealed some ultimate truths of life. :
