Principal Sessions Court Ramanagara dismisses discharge petition filed by Lenin Karuppan and Arathi Rao, co-conspirators and chief accused in the criminal conspiracy against His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda.
In a significant development related to actress Ranjitha who was alleged to be in a video with Paramahamsa Nithyananda in 2010, the actress had filed a complaint against Lenin Karuppan and Arathi Rao the chief co-conspirators in the issue of creating the morphed video. Both Lenin Karuppan and Arathi Rao had filed discharge petitions in Ranjitha’s case, but their petitions were dismissed by the Principal Sessions Court Ramanagara today.
Prior to this, the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka had dismissed the quash applications filed by the accused Lenin Karuppan and Arathi Rao as well.
As part of a criminal conspiracy against Paramahamsa Nithyananda, Lenin Karuppan abetted by his associates Aarathi Rao and others had filed the false case against Him in 2010 by basing it off a morphed video they created trying to feature Paramahamsa Nithyananda with actress Ranjitha. Ranjitha’s complaint against Lenin and his associates has brought to light their heinous and criminal acts of sexual assault, criminal intimidation, extortion among other offences committed by Lenin Karuppan.
Lenin Karuppan and Aarathi Rao are currently facing prosecution for other crimes of blackmail, extortion and criminal conspiracy by them against Ranjitha and Paramahamsa Nithyananda in the trial Court in Chennai.
