Raja T.Vijaykumar was a member of the Seikizhar Kalvi Panpattu Kazhagam, an organisation that is involved in the Thondaimandala Aadheenam administration. He had aspirations to grab the political power that comes with being the head of the ancient spiritual order of Thondaimandalam Aadheenam, and also lusted after the financial benefits that come with it. When he launched the conspiracy to take control of the Aadheenam, many of his scams and internal politics were exposed. His entire persecution of this Aadheenam was masterminded by Kalyanaraman Rangaswamy, who spearheaded the entire media attack against Paramahamsa Nithyananda.
Raja Vijaykumar committed several crimes against the Thondaimandalam Aadheenam, including cheating and embezzling money from the mutt. In one such instance, he illegally leased out one of the properties of the Aadheenam without the knowledge of the 232nd pontiff. He collected a lease of 7 lakh rupees which he used for his personal benefit. For this, the 232rd Pontiff (Gurumahasannidhanam) lodged a complaint on him.
Paramahamsa Nithyananda, being named the 233rd pontiff of the Aadheenam, came as a threat to Raja’s criminal conspiracies.
Following is a timeline of Raja’s conspiracy against Paramahamsa Nithyananda:
26th June, 2017 – Raja gathered a group of individuals to pose as representatives of other mutts at the Thondaimandala Aadheenam and started a discussion on how to remove Paramahamsa Nithyananda’s disciples from the mutt.
Three or four days later, Raja Vijaykumar came to the mutt (monastery) and met Sannidhanam and told him not to make use of any of the support given by Paramahamsa Nithyananda, and instead to use all the facilities arranged by Raja himself.
He hurled death threats at Paramahamsa Nithyananda’s disciples.
On 2 July 2017 , he sent a threat letter through a representative of Hindu Makkal Katchi (a Hindu nationalist party) saying that Paramahamsa Nithyananda’s devotees were engaging in illegal activities in the mutt and that they have to vacate the mutt immediately, failing which, they would face serious consequences. Death threats were issued.
Afterwards, he met Sannidhanam and handed a copy of a 6-page letter which included the court order copy ordering the removal of Sannidhanam from the mutt.
The letter falsely stated that:
All the above mentioned statements were fabricated to create chaos in the community. Sannidhanam himself expressed to the media, as well as to the Police officials, that His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda and his disciples were at the mutt only to take care of him and no one can decide the successor of the mutt, other than him.
Sannidhanam: Ask, whatever you want ask…
Press: Your ashram went under the control of Nithyananda Swami ashram?
Sannidhanam: – No no, still I am alive .This (Aadheenam) will not go for any reason (write that).
Press : by knowing this information only we all came, that’s all.
Sannidhanam: Just to create the rumour, anybody would have told any thing.. somebody writes.. “the person called Venkatesh who lived in that street gave the information”. But no one knows which Ventakesh, who is that person..
Press : Swami, you are here for many years.. why suddenly people are doing this, any reason for that?
Sannidhanam: 17 years I am living here, no people come to me, you are the ones who came now.
Press: Just because the mutt has so much wealth and property, so to encroach that they would have come na? then why suddenly this problem is created?
Sannidhanam: all the mutts have so much property. Thiruvaaduthurai adheenam has more the 10 times of this, and Dharumapuram aadheenam has so much, Thiruppanandhal has, all the mutt have property. Which mutt will not have property?
Press : but somebody is trying to come to your place, they are trying to come to encroach your property?
Sannidhanam: he is not a beggar, Nithyananda is not a beggar. He can purchase anything he wants.
Press: No, I am not saying about Nithyananda, I am talking about he local person who is part of management of this mutt.
Sannidhanam: No one is here as manager of mutt. He has come (showing Sri Gnanamoorthy), he is a local person. He is from our native place. his father in law is here, he is grandson they all belong to Kanchipuram. They came here to help me, take care of me and cook for me, that’s all.
Press : any other try to come here with the intention of grabbing your mutt?
Sannidhanam: how will I tell who has what desire, having desire is a basic human nature. To make that reality or not is in the hand of God. When I was initiated, 212 people were my competition. Out of 212, I became Gurumahasannidhanam. I was elected by Supreme Court judge Natarajan, High court judge.
Press: Swami your name.
Sannidhanam: Sri La Sri Thiruvambala Jnanprakaashadesigar, 232rd Gurumahasannidharam of Thondaimandala adheenam. This only shows how old we are. I came here 17 years back, the person who was here before stayed only for 4 years. This mutt is the senior mutt for all other Tamil Nadu mutts. Very ancient.
Press : your name sir? (asking Sri Gnanamoorthy)
Gnanamoorthy: I am Gnanamoorthy.
Press : his name? (pointing to Sundareshwara Maharaj)
Gnanamoorthy : Sundareshwara
Press : your native place is this? Your wife’s name?

Sannidhanam : they all are same family , they came here to help me and serve me.
Press : Other then these 3 anybody is here ?
Sannidhanam: two more people are here.
