Raja T.Vijaykumar was a member of the Seikizhar Kalvi Panpattu Kazhagam, an organisation that is involved in the Thondaimandala Aadheenam administration. He had aspirations to grab the political power that comes with being the head of the ancient spiritual order of Thondaimandalam Aadheenam, and also lusted after the financial benefits that come with it. When he launched the conspiracy to take control of the Aadheenam, many of his scams and internal politics were exposed. His entire persecution of this Aadheenam was masterminded by Kalyanaraman Rangaswamy, who spearheaded the entire media attack against Paramahamsa Nithyananda.
Raja Vijaykumar committed several crimes against the Thondaimandalam Aadheenam, including cheating and embezzling money from the mutt. In one such instance, he illegally leased out one of the properties of the Aadheenam without the knowledge of the 232nd pontiff. He collected a lease of 7 lakh rupees which he used for his personal benefit. For this, the 232rd Pontiff (Gurumahasannidhanam) lodged a complaint on him.
Paramahamsa Nithyananda, being named the 233rd pontiff of the Aadheenam, came as a threat to Raja’s criminal conspiracies.
Following is a timeline of Raja’s conspiracy against Paramahamsa Nithyananda:
26th June, 2017 – Raja gathered a group of individuals to pose as representatives of other mutts at the Thondaimandala Aadheenam and started a discussion on how to remove Paramahamsa Nithyananda’s disciples from the mutt.
↓
Three or four days later, Raja Vijaykumar came to the mutt (monastery) and met Sannidhanam and told him not to make use of any of the support given by Paramahamsa Nithyananda, and instead to use all the facilities arranged by Raja himself.
He hurled death threats at Paramahamsa Nithyananda’s disciples.
↓
On 2 July 2017 , he sent a threat letter through a representative of Hindu Makkal Katchi (a Hindu nationalist party) saying that Paramahamsa Nithyananda’s devotees were engaging in illegal activities in the mutt and that they have to vacate the mutt immediately, failing which, they would face serious consequences. Death threats were issued.
↓
Afterwards, he met Sannidhanam and handed a copy of a 6-page letter which included the court order copy ordering the removal of Sannidhanam from the mutt.
The letter falsely stated that:
All the above mentioned statements were fabricated to create chaos in the community. Sannidhanam himself expressed to the media, as well as to the Police officials, that His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda and his disciples were at the mutt only to take care of him and no one can decide the successor of the mutt, other than him.
