Despite being caught in the midst of horrific verbal abuse and violent in-fights between the various mobsters and illegal occupants of Trishulam Adheenam, Sanyasis continued their daily routine of yoga, puja and satsang, having become accustomed to the antics of the mobsters who were turning their home into a shanty-town war zone. The constant fights and escalating violence threatened the continuation of their spiritual lifestyle, however, since the daily verbal abuse and threats of violence kept newcomers from joining, and made meditation programs too risky for the public to join. Intent to contribute something to society, the adheenavasis did whatever service they could, and embarked on a quest to clean a city dump. Sadly, they were forced to give up even that noble effort when the battle reached it’s climax point, and at last, Ma Nithya Bhaktikananda Swami, nee Valli Ramanathan, the rightful inheritor of the property, filed an all encompassing complaint against the encroachers, which can be read in full below. (Translated from Tamil.)
I am Valli Ramanathan, and I stay at Jamin Pallavaram village S.no 341/51. This 3 acre land belongs to my father, Ramanathan Chettiyar. Myself and some of my sister sanyasis along with me: Ma Saradha, Ma Krishna, Ma Pavithra, Ma Sarvathma, Ma Supriya, Ma Thiyagathma, Ma Gurucharana, as well as some of our brother sanyasis: Sri Hamsananda, Sri Shambava, Sri Prananandha, Sri YogaPriya, Sri Swaroopananda and more were staying there.
Krishnan and his sons, wives, ex councillor Anbukumar, Ramakrishnan, Mani, Viji and Asokan have been continuously throwing stones at us, using very abusive language. They regularly get drunk and talk very vulgarly and loudly, non stop, day and night. They also do all sorts of black magic in our place. They are threatening us that in our own place they will prune us. As females, we feel constant fear for our safety. No assurance of our own life is given to us, nor protection for our belongings and precious chastity. Not only this, they also completely stop us from performing the fundamental requirements of life; like toilet cleaning, removing trash, or tidying our facilities.
We can’t take any more of this abuse, so we now request your help in vacating these illegally encroaching families who are occupying our land at devastating cost to our livelihood. Please take immediate action on Anbukumar, Asokan, Krishna and his sons, wives, Viji and Ramakrishnan and give complete police protection to save our lives. .Submitting all the documents regarding S.No 341/51 along with this complaint. Thank you.
