A case has been filed by Krishnamurthi, a lawyer, to make Madurai Adheenam a government property. He claims that not only Paramahamsa Nithyananda but also Arunagirinatha Paramacharya Swamigal, the current head of Madurai Aadheenam who declared Him as his successor, should be expelled from the Aadheenam.
Among the abuses that he claims against His Divine Holiness, he lies that His Divine Holiness is not a part of the Saiva Vellalar community though there is clear evidence that he is a part of the community produced by His biological family. He alleges that Arunagirinatha Paramacharya Swamigal, the 292nd Pontiff, is under the influence of Paramahamsa Nithyananda and that he is not operating on his own. He claims that no one can meet 292nd Pontiff separately as Paramahamsa Nithyananda is always with him. He questioned him asking if Madurai Aadheenam is even under his control, or if the people who “come from Bengaluru” are operating the Aadheenam. He accuses the 292nd Pontiff of making the wrong decision of bringing Paramahamsa Nithyananda as 293rd because He has “relation with ladies” and the case is still pending. He demands that Paramahamsa Nithyananda should be removed as the successor of Madurai Aadheenam.
The case was then dismissed as being baseless.
