AC Narendran, a devotee of Paramahamsa Nithyananda is deeply hurt by the mockery by the media on the scientific research presentation done in Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam, Bidadi on 15th July. Therefore he filed a complaint on all the involved media houses.

A Bangalore devotee of His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda by name A.C. Narendran has lodged a complaint on 18 July 2011 before the Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru, u/s 295A of IPC (hurting of religious sentiments) against TV9 and Suvarna News 24×7 and other media and press which have deliberately distorted telecasting of the Guru Purnima celebrations and Kundalini awakening sessions at the Nithyananda Dhyananpeetam ashram (monastery) in Bidadi, Bengaluru. The Commissioner of Police has given an assurance that a fair and just investigation will be made into the matter at the earliest. An extract from the complaint is presented below.
I, A.C. Narendran, the Complainant I am a devotee of Paramahamsa Nithyananda.
I submit that, I have attended meditation programs conducted by Paramahamsa Nithyananda at the Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam Ashram situated in Bidadi, Ramanagara District, Karnataka State and have had very deep life transforming spiritual experiences, which have always led me towards more clarity, health, mental peace and well-being. I have also been initiated into the kundalini awakening meditation by Paramahamsa Nithyananda. Paramahamsa Nithyananda is on a mission to revive the truths of the ancient Vedic tradition and has taken up scientific research studies on these great truths in order to bridge the gap between Science and Spirituality.
As a part of the sacred Guru Purnima celebrations at Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam Ashram on July 15th 2011, a live scientific recording of ‘Activation of the certain parts of the human brain through the ancient spiritual technique of Kundalini Awakening and Levitation’ (anti-gravity) through initiation by Paramahamsa Nithyananda was organised. Following the demonstration, Paramahamsa Nithyananda answered the queries from the press.
I submit that, the reports from print media and TV channels relating to the above program have extremely hurt my religious sentiments. With no attempt to understand or verify the spiritual and scientific research, they have out rightly misrepresented it as a ‘con, comedy and repulsive show’ to the readers and viewers with especially blatant implications attached to the levitation movements of the innocent devotees and spiritual seekers who had gathered from all over the world on the auspicious and holy day of Guru Purnima.
This was accompanied by derogatory vocal commentaries, several panel discussions with people who just out rightly abused the program without even caring to know or visit or experience the program.
I wish to submit that through this completely abusive and malicious reporting, the great Hindu tradition of kundalini awakening and levitation established by the great Saints like Sage Patanjali in his Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Mahavatar Babaji, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and the entire lineage of Yogis, Rishis and enlightened masters has been thoroughly defamed thus hurting my religious sentiments to the core.
As a spiritual seeker and staunch follower of the Vedic tradition, I am very deeply hurt that these sacred truths and spiritual experiences are being twisted and portrayed in such a degrading light. The media reports have hurt the faith of not only me but millions of people around the world.
I request your kind offices to take appropriate and stern action against the management, officials and employees of the said media under the relevant provisions of law for hurting my religious sentiments and all other relevant provisions of law that have been violated by the persons referred above
This is the first of many moves to fight against the adharma or injustice done to Paramahamsa Nithyananda and his Sangha.
