Cheap publishing tactics were used by DNA Newspaper to create sensationalism regarding His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda. An utterly false claim that the conspirator Lenin Karuppan, sent 30 tapes to the CID (Crime Investigation Department) was made in an article published on 8th April, 2010. Once again, complete lies are published in the name of journalism and damaging the credibility of Hinduism itself in our country. DNA has a readership of 15,06,000 readers in Mumbai alone. Such a vast readership gets yellow journalism such as this article instead of responsible journalistic integrity.
In the case against Paramahamsa Nithyananda, a morphed video which was aired on one Tamil television channel on March 2nd, 2010. Following this, a trial-by-media ensued as all types of accusations were hurled at Paramahamsa Nithyananda, much like this article by DNA newspaper. The 30 tapes that they claim were sent to the CID do not exist. There is only one fake, morphed video. This is one of many such media attacks against Paamahamsa Nithyananda.
