After having spent a whole night in detention by Sun TV blackmailer Ayyappan, on 4th Mar 2010, Sri Nithya Atmaprabhananda, Aadheenam administrator begged him to release him so that he could muster some money to hand over. Ayyappan, after long deliberation, seized his mobile phone and released him with the strong threat that he will be tracked completely for every movement of his, and he will not be able to leave Chennai without handing over the demanded money.
Meanwhile, the original blackmailer Sridhar, posing to be advocate to Paramahamsa Nithyananda’s organisation, convened a press meet in Chennai and forced Atmaprabhananda to address the Press as well. Sridhar addressed the press much before Atmaprabhananda could reach the venue. In the Press Meet, Atmaprabhananda made a very clear statement about the conspiracy against Paramahamsa Nithyananda and that the video was a morphed one.
