As part of the larger conspiracy to assassinate His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda, Ma Nithya Supriyananda Swami was targeted by Anti-Hindu groups and criminal conspirators. She endured caste abuse, attempted murder, character defamation, sexual harassment and a rape attack.
Highly Educated and Inspired by the Higher Spiritual Truths Revealed by Paramahamsa Nithyananda
She was a University Topper in B. Tech Production Technology from Madras Institute of Technology Anna University – Chennai.
She had rejected several job offers and renounced many career opportunities just to take the Spiritual Life. She was just 22 years old when she joined the Nithyananda Peetham, Bengaluru Aadheenam and, at that time, one of very few to join at such a young age.
She was inspired by the Hindu scriptures and the Hindu lifestyle of yoga and meditation. Transformed by the meditation programs conducted by Paramahamsa Nithyananda, she decided to live a Sanyas life (Hindu monkhood). She took Sanyas Initiation by Paramahamsa Nithyananda breaking the myths that existed in the society that:
- Spirituality and Sanyas are denied for Women in Hinduism
- Hinduism has Varnasharama, which treated people belonging to the so-called Shudra Community very badly
- Hinduism denied the Religious rights of the People who belonged to the Shudra Community, Scheduled Caste (considered one of the lowest classes) restraining them not to even enter Temples and Mutts or to do pooja, rituals, etc.
Initiated into Poorna Sanyas, Dedicating Her Life to Enrich Humanity
She received the initiation into “Poorna Sanyas” became a “Swami” and dedicated her whole life to Enrich herself to become enlightened and to Enrich Humanity.
She was the Head of the Tamil Publication Department, of Nithyananda University Press, involving herself in compiling and publishing several books like the famous Kathavai Thira aatru Varattum, Tamil Magazines, and the most famous Jeevan Mukthi book by Paramahamsa Nithyananda.
Apart from the Publication work, she was blessed by Paramahamsa Nithyananda to take the responsibility of the “Sanyas Training Institute” for Women, which trains and guide women Sanyasis in their spiritual growth.
Though it seems simple to hear, in reality, she had to walk through a lot of thorns. She went through a lot of attacks and atrocities to reclaim her fundamental religious rights. But the attackers were not the so-called ‘Upper Caste Hindus’ as projected by the politicians. By all the evidence, it is obvious that she was targeted and attacked by Anti-Hindu miscreants who do not want a female Sanyasi leader, especially from the Scheduled Community (low caste).
2009
Targeted and Sexually Harrassed by Lenin the Main Conspirator Against Paramahamsa Nithyananda
Ma Nithya Supriyananda Swami is one amongst the female disciples who was directly targeted and attacked by Lenin for the purpose of a bigger Conspired attack against Paramahamsa Nithyananda.
She was sexually harassed by Lenin during Mid 2009. She was threatened by Lenin continuously at that time. Then the religious persecution against His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda broke out a few months later which brought a huge tragedy in the life of Ma Nithya Supriyananda Swami.
Lenin Karuppan, the so-called ‘Whistle Blower’ was implanted, a secret intruder inside the ashram, set to destroy His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda and His Divine Mission. He had committed several criminal attacks against many disciples both male and female, ranging from rape and sexual assault to blackmailing and attempt to murder.
2013
Being a female brahmacharya of Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam, belonging to a Scheduled Caste community, Ma Nithya Supriyananda had to fight for 8 years just for filing a case against Lenin, for attempted rape and casteist comments made against her.
The police in connivance with the accused Lenin didn’t register her complaint.
The serious offenses are punishable under Sections 342, 354, 355, 376, 384, 506 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 was ignored by Police.
She approached the High Court of Karnataka and further sought an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation, seeking compensation. WP 10815/2011 has been heard by the High Court of Karnataka and notice issued to the respondents.
On 12 March 2013, the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka had ordered for FIR to be filed in the said case filed by Pushpa against Lenin Karuppan for his attempt to rape her, extortion and his threat to kill her. The police thereafter registered the complaint and FIR in Cr. N. 0077/2013 at Bidadi Police Station, on 11 March 2013. 2017
The police in connivance with the accused again closed the case by filing a B report.
She didn’t give up. She approached the Court for justice. She filed a complaint in Ramanagara Court.
Finally, she got the first Victory in the Legal Battle.
The Hon’ble Sessions Court on 22 January 2017 ordered for registering this case as Special Case. The case number is 38 / 2018. The Hon’ble Ramanagara Court set aside the ‘B’ report filed by police.
The court strongly ordered that the charge sheet has to be filed after the investigation and has taken cognizance of the offences under Sections 376 (rape), 341 (wrongful restraint), 506 (criminal intimidation), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 3(1)(r) of SC ST Act (intentionally insults or intimidates with intent to humiliate a member of a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe in any place within public view).

Press Meet by Nithyananda Disciple – Ma Nithya Supriyananda Swami Against Lenin Karuppan Dec 31, 2010
My name is Ma Nithya Supriyananda. I am a Beta graduate. I did my Engineering in USA, MIT Campus. I have a brother. His name is Dhyanarajananda and is a MBA Graduate. Actually, both of us came to the Ashram to join there as an Ananda Yogam students. And after that, we took up Brahmacharya (student monk) as a life and a path. Here, I am in front of you to share the grievances which I am facing because of Lenin.
Yesterday on 30th of December at around 8:00 in the morning, myself, my brother Kalgarajananda and one more brahmacharya from the ashram, Ma Achalananda, were walking towards Bidadi bus stop. At that time, one car came and just stopped in between. From that car, Lenin and 2 other people got down. They approached me and they stopped me from my further continuing on my way. They asked me, ‘Are you going to take any legal action against me?’ I said, ‘Yes.’ Then he threatened me, ‘If you start a legal action I will kill you.’ After that, I said, ‘I am not bothered about that.’
He was holding an acid bottle and then he threatened me, ‘I will throw it in your face if you are not going to stop this.’ And then I just came back. By that time, he started abusing me by using my caste name. I come from the scheduled caste of Adi Dravida community. He very badly used all the very indecent words, naming my community. Calling me as a parideviya which means a scheduled class prostitute and all the other nonsenses. Since we were like frightened and we just wanted to do some other thing, we just wanted to escape from that place. Following our struggle, a few other cars which were passing by that place they stopped. And since they noticed some other cars were stopping, they escaped from that place.
So I got fear struck and after that, I wanted to take this issue immediately to the police. And then from there itself I called my council, who were from Citizens Associates, and they asked me to come over to the office and they will help me. And then and there I opened first time to them what was the motive for which he was threatening me. Because Lenin knows, if I come out and tell the truth, he will be behind bars.
In July 2009, after a couple of days, he tried to attempt rape on me and a few other incidences. So I was a witness to that; I am the victim. If I come out boldly and tell the truth, he knows he will be caught. The reason why I kept my mouth shut, is during that attempt, he used one liquid which he sprayed on my face. After that, I went into a semi-conscious state. I couldn’t open my eyes. I couldn’t resist. I couldn’t do anything. Using that situation he took photographs of my semi-naked upper body in his cell phone. Which one of our volunteers was suppose to be coming to that place before. Just by, God’s grace, she was there. So anything wrong didn’t happen to me. So she banged the door and after that, I came out of that place.
And the next day evening he (Lenin) threatened me, showing the pictures and telling me:
‘First thing, you do not know about me, what all I can do against you, ashram and Swamiji. And the first thing I have a lot of political influence in Tamil Nadu. I have media influence. I have the pictures with me and I have sent a copy of the pictures already to some of my associates. And by now they know what to do. If you open the mouth I will send this copy to your family and to your parents. So if they come, first thing they will get you out of this ashram. You will not be in the ashram first. So then how can you try and say anything which happened here? So already your parents are very much angry and now I will turn this whole case against Swamiji and some of the senior disciples that they only did this. See as long as you keep your mouth shut, I will not show these pictures to the net or to the media. The moment I smell that if you turn to Swamiji or other associates, your friends or to anyone, I will not tell you; I will do it.’
So it is because of this fear that I have to face this public shame. It’s like the naked photographs are with him, the video is with him, so having that fear, I kept my mouth shut. And then I was always contemplating on how to tell. The very fear drove me inside and I couldn’t open my mouth.
After that, this scandal that broke out in March. He proved what he meant to me. That he had political influence, he had media influence, he had all the other influence. So after that, I could not even open my mouth to anyone. So his atrocities kept on going. I wanted to tell but I couldn’t tell. Because the videographs are still with him; he can do anything with that. I don’t want to come out because I come from a respectable family. This will affect my family and my ashram and already he is giving so many stories against the ashram.
So then slowly and slowly I saw that things are settling legally, so okay let me go and take the legal action. I was just contemplating and I told only a few of them but somehow the news leaked to him. And then he came to get this information and because of that, he got frightened that I’d come out. So he came on that day, yesterday on 30th. So after that incident, I went to a lawyer and he helped me in drafting this complaint. In within one hour, we went to the CR itself. The Civil Right Enforcement said that we were looking for our DGP (Director General of Police). He was not there. Then we are looking for SP (Superintendent of Police), one of our officers. No one was there at the time so we went to their office, we got the complaint acknowledged and straight away from that we went to Bidadi Police Station.
We got to Bidadi Police Station around 1:00 o’clock and at that time they say he was not there. So we were waiting in the police station for about 10 minutes. After that, SI (Sub Inspector) came into his chambers. He was attending through other cases. After that some half an hour, he called us. First, our counsels went inside. He didn’t offer any chair for our counsellors even after them introducing themselves as lawyers from Sevilla Associates. He didn’t offer a chair but they themselves took.
After 2 minutes, I was called inside. I went and he asked me to sit there then he asked me, ‘Oh you are the complainant?’

‘What’s your name?’ (SI said)
‘It is Ma Nithya Supriyananda’. (Ma Supriya Swami)
Then my counsel started speaking. Then, he was just jumping, started shouting that my counsels were behaving very arrogantly and he was stating the statement that he was going to file 353 against us.
Actually, I am the victim. I came forward, facing all the struggles to give a complaint at Bidadi Police Station for justice. For the atrocities which he (Lenin) has committed on me, in that place, he (SI) is telling me that he will file 353 against me! Then my counsels humbly requested him to just first go through what the complaint is. He didn’t like it. He was just blaming that we were behaving very arrogantly and he just wanted…he was very particularly insisting that my counsels have to go out of this campus. He wanted for me to sit there and answer alone: lawyers should not accompany me. There is no rule that lawyers should come. Then my counsels said, ‘Sir, there is every rule that for a individual complaint, a lawyer can come for a victim.’ Even after that, he was not convinced. He became hot and he was reading that complaint to some other person. I don’t know who he was reading to and then after consultation, he asked me, ‘Let’s go to SP(Superintendent of Police) office.’ SP office in Ramanagara.
Then after that, I was made to sit outside in that SP office. I could clearly hear some of them talking to Lenin. ‘Lenin sir’ what Occam said. ‘Lenin sir’ and like this. ‘That one lady, from the ashram, has come here telling some atrocities and you have abused her. You have used her caste and you have tried doing attempt rape in July. Where are you now? Oh, you are in Chennai, okay, okay okay.’
After that, I was made to sit until 5pm outside the SP office. I was not called inside the SP office and again asked to go to Bidadi Police Station. I was made to wait 45 min. Then at 6pm, they came with a letter telling me it was an endorsement form saying we are accepting your complaint as a petition. Since we called up Lenin and he is in Chennai, we are considering your complaint as a petition; we are not going to file as a FIR.
See I am the victim. I have come forward so many struggles to come out for justice. And there are victims, I am a victim and there are witnesses. I do not know what to do after this. And the police is not filing my FIR. What does he want me to do? I have a witness which happened for the attempted rape. I have a witness for this incidence also, this acid attack. That incidence also the witness is there. And me the victim who is coming forward and giving the complaint and my complaint is not registered. This shows very clearly how powerful he (Lenin) is. I literally don’t know what to do now. Still, now my complaint is not considered and registered as an FIR. I don’t have any money power, I don’t have media power, I don’t have political power. All around I am all alone.

Due to the seriousness of the case, the law under the SC/ST Act requires the case to be completed in 2 months. Ma Nithya Supriyananda Swami had gone through a huge psychological trauma because of the harassment and attacks done by Lenin Karuppan. With will persistence, she is going through the trauma. To register an FIR for the crime done against her, she received direct death threats and survived a death attack.
The case is currently undergoing trial in First Additional Magistrate Court, Ramanagara.

First Prominent ATTACK IS THROUGH Nakheeran,
A YELLOW TABLOID MAGAZINE
Yellow Tabloid Nakheeran published abusive defamatory articles against her portraying and describing that she was running a “sex racket” in the name of “Sanyas Training Institute”.
A criminal defamation case was filed at Ist Additional District and Sessions Court, Kolar-Karnataka for publishing a defamatory article about her. The accused in the case were Nakheeran Editor, R. Rajagopal, Editor Kamaraj and Lenin Karuppan.
Meanwhile, the Nakheeran Magazine and team threatened and blackmailed her family members, pressurizing them to get her out of the spiritual life and ashram. Family members got deeply hurt, disturbed because of this threat.

A Tamil magazine
Charu Nivedita of Kumudham Reporter wrote abusive and sexually explicit articles about Ma Nithya Supriyananda Swami. It was blatant Sexual Harassment and an indecent representation of Women in Public. He wrote an article in her name, asking if she had sex with her Guru, before or after signing the contract?
He had sent a personal message to her mobile, torturing her with these type of questions.

Earlier Lenin Karuppan was Arrested upon a “Non-bailable Warrant” issued by the in the Case against Charu Niveditha at Bengaluru City Metropolitan Magistrate Court. He was arrested and produced before the court for the reason of absconding from appearance before the Court continuously.
